None of this matters

100 years from now, you can be sure we will all be dead. Everyone (if anyone) who is reading this will be dead. Nothing will matter. No one will remember all the hard work you put in today at your job. No one will give a flying fuck about the great grade you got on that Anthropology test. None of this matters. Our time here is limited, and yet so many people get caught up in racing to the top of the human chain. We forget that in a very very short time, we will be nothing but history. People always say that family is what counts most. I disagree with this common idea. This is because we all die alone. No matter how many people are around you at your hospital bed, you will be completely lonely when you die. Don't spend this life building savings, working all day every day, pissing your life away. Don't be afraid to drop everything and see the world. Fill your memories with as many beautiful things as you can. Experience life knowing that few others have experienced it like you have. Know that they may have more money, more loved ones, or more cars than you, but they will die just like you; alone.
Confused...

So I'm 19, which makes me automatically lost in life and unknown of where I am headed in this world. My career goals change almost hourly, which is driving me absolutely crazy. I've dropped out of Wake Tech 3 times, but am already thinking of going back for a 4th try. I don't have a fucking clue of what I want to do. From truck driving, to becoming a pilot, to programming, I have decided on almost every career path posible, and have gone back on my decision every single time. Not feeling like I am in control of my own mind when it comes to making and managing goals is seriously fucking me up. I have sleeping problems, I am eating myself both to death and closer to diabetes.
My thoughts on Microsoft Flight and the FS community

So the Flight Simulator franchise is dead. It was thought that this was the case when ACES closed down some time ago. But this thought was quickly suppressed by FS fans when Microsoft announced they were working on a new simulator called Flight. The community was buzzing with excitement especually when the first screenshots surfaced. It looked to us like it was based on the FSX engine... but better! There was no shortage of speculation on the part of the community. Some early reports were that Microsoft was making a simulator that would be easily ported into Xbox with strong integration with Windows Live. This seemed almost unimagineable for most of the hobbyists on AVSim, and all of us quickly pushed this idea out of our heads. Microsoft had released almost 10 simulators in the past, all of them working on the previous engine and design standard that allowed 3rd parties to develop addons. It seemed back then that Microsoft was aware of the huge community that formed on top of the simulators they were producing. Fans were hopeing for the best, but expecting the worst.
I, like many other fans, was eagerly awaiting news from those who had been lucky enough to get their hands on the beta. Sadly, that eagerness was fed with dissapointment when the beta finally went out. Confusion is probably the best word to use. Most people who got their hands on it weren't exactly sure what to make of it. Was it a dumbed down version just to showcase the new sim engine? Was is dumbed down to better help beta testers to get a feel for the controls? Was it limited to Hawaii because it was a beta? Nope, the simulator really was that dumbed down. It was limited to hawaii because that is the only location that ships with Flight. Needless to say, it was a fantastic game. But that is all it was; a Game. I'm not sure if Microsoft is just ignorant, or if they really expected hard core simulator fans to accept missions, collecting coins, buying new regions, not being able to get 3rd party content. It pissed a lot of us off as we felt Microsoft was spitting in our face.

Hope you had a great Christmas! I was lucky enough to get an iPhone 4S, which I already cannot live without. I always saw myself as the guy who was never really into fancy cell phones. However, I have to say, being able to check email, get news, play games, make calls, send messages, surf the web, and so many other things makes the iPhone one of the greatest inventions ever. Its funny how the least interesting part of the iPhone for me is the phone part. Siri is also unexpectadly useful. While driving you can take notes, play songs, schedule events on the calender and so many other things while not taking your eyes off the road. At this point, it probably seems like I'm being paid by Apple, but I'm not, I just love it that much.
